I found this quote earlier and it speaks volumes. While I don’t necessarily agree that it’s everyones cup of tea or “best” by any means (everyone has their own preference at the end of the day), a lot of people don’t realise how in 80% of cases, a lot of makeup is involved to achieve that makeup free look they see in magazines or tv and preach about. We’re talking a combination/pick and mix of: foundation, concealer, mascara, powder, sometimes nude lipsticks and eyeshadows. Of course that doesn’t always apply and some people are that naturally beautiful, but it’s definitely the majority.
Everything here is all well and good, until said people start slagging off people for using more obvious makeup, claiming they prefer natural looking people and it drives me nuts.
Generally what the person means and needs to appreciate is that they prefer a natural makeup look.

I’ve finally discovered a foundation that’s the correct colour for my skin.
The only annoying part is that i’ve had to blend it myself!
